How Do We Train the Subconscious?
Before we get into the nitty gritty and focus on the subconscious mind, let us first look at the ideal situation: Harnessing the law of attraction:
Skim this blog post and let me know what it tells you about the law of attraction and the subconscious mind:
What themes do you sense from the above blog?
Did you answer any of these?
The answer is most likely:
that couldn’t be farther from the truth…
What would you say the lesson that I learned from that Monday From Hell was?
- To not open a door with two coffees in my hand? hmm.. that’s one
- To not walk in the paths of sprinkles on the walk into work? sounds like another one..
BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY:
- Our realities become MANIFESTations of our thoughts, desires and mindsets- through the power of the subconscious mind.
Okay.. Great but…
“What’s A Sub-Con-Shes“
Doesn’t he mean Confucious?
No – we’re talking about the subconscious mind.
Cue: Sigmund Freud (aka Siggy)
The theory of the subconscious mind is based on Sigmund Freud’s model of human mind’s organization.
Freud conceptualized that the brain was broken up into three compartments known as the:
- Preconscious (Subconscious)
Becoming the Captain of Your Mind’s Journey
The above link suggests an excellent analogy to help understand the relationship between these three:
“Your conscious mind is a bit like the captain of a ship standing on the bridge giving out orders. In reality it’s the crew in the engine room below deck (the subconscious and the deeper unconscious) that carry out the orders. The captain may be in charge of the ship and give the orders but its the crew that actually guides the ship, all according to what training they had been given over the years to best do so.”
While We’re Pioneering The Seven Seas….
Let us take a look at the “Iceberg straight ahead!!” to further pull the concepts together:
So you’re telling me that most of my decisions in life are already made if I do not moderate the mindsets and patterns that have been established in my subconscious mind?
Ever Have Any of These Thoughts?:
- “Good things never happen to me.”
- “I cannot trust anyone.”
- “Life is never easy.”
- “It’s tough to make money.”
- “I am a bad person.
- “Why can’t I get out of my own way?”
THESE thoughts are a product of the subconscious mind at work.
You can become free of negative subconscious patterns in your mind, by becoming aware of them and dis-identifying with them through lack of interest/attention.
Plan of Action:
Monitor your thoughts over the next week – Write down all of your thoughts and put a + next to positive thoughts, = next to neutral and – next to negative thoughts. Email me a copy of these at firstname.lastname@example.org
