With that being said, let's make this WEDNESDAY NOT Suck.

How To Make Mondays NOT Suck is a strategic and sometimes satirical mini-series that will make your Mondays less ...sucky.

If this is your first time embarking on a #MMNS journey, we suggest that read this first. With that being said, let's face it- we all know that Mondays suck..

So Why Does This Monday Suck? (Even Though We Know It's NOT ACTUALLY Monday)

Just like Bill, we all have days when we (in this case literally) smash our alarm clocks' snooze button one too many times (Somehow today I snoozed 5 times and was still on time for work- I call that proper budgeting..)

Some of us who were fortunate enough to have yesterday off thanks to social martyr: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. are now faced with a Tuesday morning that actually acts and feels like a Monday. On the brightside, we're that much closer to the weekend, but let's face it, we're still dreading this Tuesday as if it were actually a Monday.

So How is Mr. Manifest Doing Today?

Well, although having a hockey game at 10PM last night sure did NOT help to my body to achieve adequate rest, the Warhawks Hockey Club got all sorts of fired up with a huge win 4-2 over a RED HOT Connecticut Bulldogs team to snap their 4 game win streak.


On a HUGE mid-season pickup, Joey Barnes (check out his instagram page here) stepped into the locker room with confidence and won his new team over within the first shift of ice time, clawing his way into the starting line up centering forwards Tom Merola and Joe Juliano (For my all my Millennial-heads out there: Joey Jules is the Friday 13 kid). The line combined for a total of 7 points and a +/- of +2.

Last night, in what critics are calling to be the midseason #SCHL deal of the century, newly signed centerman, Joey Barnes (@j_snipe_09) made his #Warhawks Hockey Club debut wasting no time at all. Joey proved himself as an asset to his teammates from the moment he stepped on the ice for his first shift- adding the spark that the team needed to get them back in the win column. It goes to prove that sometimes you’ve just got to shake things up. Warhawks captain @ayjzzle on the signing, “… this guy is one of the best out there, he’s a tremendous addition both on and off the ice. We simply couldn’t be happier.” Joey Barnes tallied 2 HUGE goals in the contest and was unianimously selected as the @manifestmillennial player of the game. Okay, So You're TOO Positive Today.. How Do I Make THIS Monday Not Suck?!

I know what you're thinking - "dude you're too optimistic today to even realize that this Monday (actually Tuesday) sucks!" But here's where it gets better..

Today We're Talking Setting a Goal for the Day and CRUSHING IT

I woke up today with my eye on the prize - I knew coming in to work today what I had to do. I was proactive and prepared for the week ahead on Friday.


I know what you're thinking..

    • With all due respect Mr. Manifest - are you suggesting that we actually do our work?
    • THAT's what is going to Make Mondays NOT Suck?!
      • And to that I say:

YES. Do your friggin work. Make a plan and absolutely CRUSH IT!

This is not only good for business, but it also helps your:

  • Perseverance (because let's anticipate distractions/obstacles/deterrents etc.)
  • Self-discipline (see above)
  • Accountability
  • Confidence
