How to Make Mondays NOT Suck #14

Make-Mondays-NOT-Suck-Basic-2.jpg

How to Make Mondays NOT Suck is a strategic and sometimes satirical mini-series that will make your Mondays less ...sucky. If this is your first time embarking on a Make Mondays NOT Suck (#MMNS) journey, we suggest that read this first. With that being said, let's face it- we all know that Mondays suck.

Why Does This Monday Suck? (Click here to tell us why yours does!)

Jon Snow stands disappointed and learning that not only is it Monday, but that he is sick of shoveling snow. He is here to Make Mondays NOT Suck by saving our dimension from the White Walkers

I'm a hopeless romantic - a sucker for snow. It's the only reason I stay in New England (Besides the New England Patriots of course)

With that being said, I'm already snowed out. Go Figure - our snowblower breaks during the biggest storm we've seen all year so I ended up shoveling a whole lot of snow by hand.

Not to mention pushing a few cars out of the snow (shout out to my brother Lucas, Joey Bunz for his help with one of them #goodsamaritanaward)

So..How Do I Make THIS Monday Not Suck?!

Today we're talking

Getting Inspired by Your Passions!

Let's Do It!

It's easy to lose sight of inspiration when we are constricted by the constant tension that others create for us. If we fail to act on and exercise our freedoms to explore our interests with an unrestricted openness and innate desire to learn and discover, our mental well being will slowly decay.

Strategies for Action:

Awesome!! We love sales research!!

  1. Give yourself the evening. Make TONIGHT a big deal. (If you typically plop yourself on the couch and watch a few episodes of Netflix, you still can, just do this first.)
    • Write down 5 topics that you are interested in.
      • Now write down a five additional questions for each of these interests.
      • For example: If one of your interests is the stock market, learn how it works and then formulate 5 questions the topic. Try to answer the questions via research. Treat this as a graphic organizer - just let your brain go into full on exploration mode. You are on a safari for new discoveries of interest!
  2. Keep your notes and cultivate this practice every week. Make Mondays NOT Suck by brainstorming ideas/questions/theories/opportunities etc.
  3. Give yourself permission to write and think freely - There is no judgment here, no one will need to see these ideas or questions but yourself. Have some fun with this. This practice should be invigorating. Get out of your groove and explore your interests (notice how I don't use the word passion- which has gotten a bad wrap as of late).

Let me know how you do with this, I'm very interested to hear about your experience.

I believe in you, it's not as strenuous and overwhelming as you think

AND

you will most likely.. (dare I say..)

HAVE FUN DOING IT!

Just in case you need any more inspiration.

Go Forth and Explore.
